You're right on the first,the second is too "bright" to see much.

just a tip, you don't have to use MAX magnification, makes it a bit hard to see. It will show on a lower magnification if there is really something there.

Well its either the 40 year old plastic microscope or not being able to get a decent close up with my camera set up. Any suggestions are welcome. I have an older but decent digital CAM that does 8 mega pixels and has a good mack and a bunch of different power lenses. So far I have not come up with a good system
