Poll Question
Just curious to see how many of you pick up a penny off the ground when you see one. I think for the majority of us coin collectors, we do. Everyone I ask that don't collect coins, say they don't. Its funny how people will tell you they drive miles to save a penny for a gallon of gas, but yet will not bend down to pick up a penny Results

I've always picked up any change I see on the ground, this goes back to when I was a kid and a few pennies could actually buy something. Nowadays I have a different reason for picking up change. Margaret

I pick up everything I see. It still spends even if it isn't collectible.

Tpatna, on this same thought, I started the end of March 06 picking up all change and have been putting it in a jar. One more month will be a year and I will count it to see what I have picked up. It is quite surprising just how much has accumulated. I will post the total the first of April. Jim

I usually pick all coins what I see on the ground Here in Finland it is not so common to find coins because smallest coin is 5 cent coin. And people use credit cards very much nowadays,so they don't drop coins so much anymore.

Only if I can tell if its a wheatie,or older. Saw where some kids had glued one down in a mall. Some people will stop in front of a crowd and try to get it up.Very funny to watch what some will do for a penny!!! BIRD OUT

I used to. Then someone told me that they had to be heads up for good luck. So now, if I feel like I could use a little good luck, and it's heads, I'll pick it up. Otherwise, I'll leave it or flip it over to heads for the next guy who comes along

I almost always pick pennies up, but I've also been known to drop a few on purpose.
I'd rather pick up twenty-dollar bills.....

Tpat, I said never, but the truth is I'll pick it up if I dropped it. Nickels or greater, no thinking involved. My last great find was one night last year leaving Madison Square Garden I saw some green. Scooped that right up!! (3 twenties!). TS
