I mean this coin is absolutely beautiful, I would love to call it mine (I am not buying it). But is that really a realistic buy it now?

No. I'm not even positive it's even a small date. It wouldn't be the first time the TPGs have gotten it wrong.

Doesn't look like a small date. That toning pattern is very common on '70 era proofs. IMO the buy it now price is way too high.

Might be the angle of the pictures because the other small dates the seller has listed don't look right either.

From the sellers photos, he's selling both proof large and small dates.

The 7 is lower than the 9 and 0, so it probably is a large date. Pretty poor on NGC to get it wrong.

And even if it was a valid small date, that BIN price seems quite high.

What is the population report on it as compare to the other grades?

Heh, I see a pattern here with this seller(delotta76) and misattributed 1970S Small Dates-

Yeah, something isn't quite kosher with this seller. That is just way too many misattributed small dates for it to be a coincidence.
Rest in Peace

Don't pay a premium for these 1970 rainbows. For some reason there is a large quantity of these on the market. I have a couple of them myself. They are pretty, but I see way too many of them for sale.

I sent this message to the seller.
Will it go ignored?

Dear delotta76,

Even tho NGC has designated this as a small date. It is not, they made a
mistake. Buy the coin, not the holder. Sorry to inform you of this. Look at
this page. lincolncentresource DOT com and click on small dates.
