1899 Thin Die Punch Vs Large Die

I have a couple large cents from 1899 at home and one of them has a much thinner everything, the date, writing all over the coin are much thinner that my other version. Is this common. I looked with a magnifier and cannot see any doubling. Will post pictures tonight.
