Granted that I haven't tried to send private messages, but I was wondering exactly how the function is handled in this forum.

Do member have a private email box within the format or is the private message sent to the email account that is embedded in your set-up. If a member sends you a private message that goes to your personnal email account does the sending member have access to that address.

Just wondering. Any explanation would be helpful. Thanks.

There is a form where you type in the message. Its then sent by the forum to the member's registered email address. Then look for email messages titled:

"Sent From Coin Community Forum by username"

If you have your junk mail filter set fairly strict, it may go into the junk mail folder.

Emails are sent to the email address that is specified by that member. I e there private email address, and yes once the person receives the email they can see the senders private email address too. Then you just email back and forth directly.

I'm gonna move this to the Support forum, just because I think it'll get a clearer answer there. For me, as a Moderator, I get to see the originating email address for forum emails but I don't know if that's a result of my additional access or not because I can see those email addresses anyway if I wish.

Fuzzy how did you get the stone mountain avatar?

In the Avatars thread, I asked Susanlynn9 (aka Forum Mom) to make an avatar for me. At the time, I didn't have a good camera, but she was able to make it from a stock photo I supplied.

No. If you send an e-mail via the forum, the recipient will see your e-mail address, but you cannot see the recipient's e-mail address. You will only discover their e-mail address if the person receiving the e-mail replies to yours.
