Most of the 46S cents I've gone through for my album have a deep brown color. This coin has a lot of luster and more knicks than on the others. If it hasn't been cleaned, can a grade be suggested? Thanks, Casey

the pic is to bad for me to tell it looks cleaned to me the color is all wrong but you used the term luster if it were cleaned it would have no luster

Hard to tell from the picture but to me, it looks like something bad happened to that coin - either cleaned or it spent some time in the road or something. Way too many nicks for any kind of uncirculated grade.

Your coin has almost certainly been cleaned. It looks like it has suffered from other abuse as well.

Appears to have been cleaned, but scanners are not good for imaging coins. Just toss it, you can by these in nice MS red for cheap.

Cleaned or soaked in a harsh chemical.

Interesting how the picture has bright random color pixels (maybe due to the nicks and scratches?): My inexperienced guess is that it has been cleaned or otherwise damaged environmentally, doesn't look right.
