Hoping these pictures are much better than the last ones for this same coin...here goes

This pic looks like a doubled TIE (not the date)

This pic looks like a doubled LIBERTY

and finally this looks like an extra ear

What do you think...doubled or not?

I wish I could make a post lately without someone criticizing my pictures.

This is the same but different angle

It can be difficult to get good pictures. I definitely know. Before I bought a USB Microscope I was taking them with a camera through a loupe. Sometimes I would be messing with one coin for an hour before I got good pictures.

I am not critizing your pictures. I am not being mean. I want people to get their questions answered. Good pictures are essential.

In regards to your coin. The Date doesn't look doubled to me. The "L" and the "I" look wider than they should but I do not know why. Hopefully someone else chimes in for you.

Are you shooting through a loupe? The problem I had when I shoot through a loupe was only the middle area of the pic would be right and the outside parts of the loupe get distorted from the curvature of the loupe.

Just trying to help you get the answers you seek.

Cheers and Happy Hunting

Nope shooting with a scope and that seems to be my problem lately. Everyone is saying my lighting is crazy. I am trying very hard to get good pictures.

Sorry if I sounded rude...its just it like every post someone says something about my pictures.

And I know the date is not doubled...its the tie that I was showing.

Thanks for your help

The ear and date are a no."LIBERTY" is showing something but it looks more like MD.
Your second shot of "LIBERTY" is better, sometimes changing the angle (or just the lighting) angle is all that is needed.

Sorry, I should read the whole thing. The tie looks normal.Your photo of the tie and ear are fine,it was the glare on liberty that was the problem. Try shielding the light with a sheet of paper or plastic bag (like from Wally-World).I have an Intelplay digital microscope, sometimes I'll use the light below the platform.I have turned the light to minimum and used external lighting. Practice using different techniques.
