caught my eye while roll hunting. I know it can't be a real S above the D, not sure what it is, but it sure looks funny.

That is interesting that the stain/discoloration resembles an S mint mark

if I was unscrupulous, I'd list it on the bay as one of a kind. Instead, i'll put it in some acetone next time I have it out and make sure it goes away.

I know next to nothing about 5 cents pieces but it might be worth it to do an overlay of an S coin over it to see if it is at all close to an S mint mark,
