Hello, I've got a nice collection of older and some newer coins I'm curious what the condition of these coins would be to a knolegeable coin collecters eye. I've brought some of my coins into a few diffrent coin shops here in utah but I'm starting to think I need to do more homework before I decide to sell any of them. I'm going to start with this quarter I've got, I was made a few offers but each one was diffrent and I've gotten diffrent feedback from each of the shops so now I'm just getting every opinion I can so I can get an idea on the value of the coins I've got. here is a photo of the coins front side and back side.

Oh, I forgot to mention.. I am trying to figure a basic grade/condition of this coin from the prespective of a coin collector/possible buyer of this such coin. I was not told the condition of this coin from the dealer I brought it too, only I was offered a total amount of USD$ of $85.00 Cash. he did not mention anything other than the coin had more ware to it then the other coins I presented to him. This is a 1927-s Standing Liberty quarter dollar, and as far as I know it is one of the only 2% minted in san freanscisco during the year of 1927.

I'm assuming its pretty rare, and hoping this is decent condition for the coin considering how old it is and the mint etc. etc.

What would this coin value at to anyone who is reading this topic? how much should I ask for when trying to sell this coin lets say online through maybe ebay? or even just a local coin dealer/coillector in my area? like I said I was offered 85$ cash from one of the two shops I went too, and 60$ from the other. the reason I'm digging deeper is because I've gotten two completly diffrent quotes from these guys and I'm starting to wounder if I stumbled across something more valuble to the right person. thank you for taking the time to read all this talk, I'm just struggling with bills and the past couip,le of months have been hard so I'm trying to get the most out of these coin's I've got. I really dont want to let them go but I just cant go without doing so, my daughter and fiance need food in their bellys and a warm place to sleep!! lol. thanks again (:

Your example looks very comparable to examples certified in F-12. Examples in that grade have sold on Heritage for about $80-100. IMO, $85 is a good offer.

Yeah I was thinking it looks a bit better then my VG example, so F12 would seem about right.
