Are people hoarding the 2009 pennies. I've been noticing that I've been getting nearly twice the amount of wheaties in a box (seems to be around 10 a box) and only like 4 2009 pennies a box. I find this quite odd considering that the 2009 penny isn't that old. Are people hoarding them?

I for one save them if I find them. Only if they are clear of major damage.

I ended up setting aside a box of the birthplace and the formative years when they were released (the first 2 in the series, Denver mint). They're just sitting in my closet collecting dust as I was too lazy to try and flip them back in 09. I wish I had been able to get a box of the presidency design, those things sure are elusive.

I save all of them.. I have a few over a hundred, but only about 5 lp 3's! Ridiculous.
I too have noticed them disappear from circulation. Maybe a zincoln will finally hold potential for investment value... (not likely)

Now I know why I can't seem to find any! 6 Rolls and I found like two. And I still can't find Railsplitter Lincoln. I'm getting a box tomorrow, and I'll be damned if I don't find at least one.

The Zincolns (hee hee, pardon me, it's just such a silly name, especially if you say in out loud) certainly don't age well like their older brethren. The debate of whether our modern coins are less attractive will never be settled, but zinc coins are undeniably not a good idea from an aesthetic point of view. Not to mention they just feel wrong.
PS. After 15 rolls I did find one Railsplitter, in case anyone was falling off the edge of their seat.
