RoyalSilver Pillar of the Community Canada 933 Posts	Posted 06/08/2012 12:03 am So I'm looking through ebay listings as I do every night...and I come across this 1947dot nickel. The price is incredible for the condition that the coin seems to be in, that is IF it hasnt been cleaned (which it looks like it may have been). The picture also does a very poor job of showing the "dot" and the claimed "triple punched 9 and a quadruple punched 7" I looked as close as possible and was not able to see any doubling on any of the numbers in the date (perhaps the 7, but that may be just the picture) regardless this seemingly MS-60 looking 1947dot + re-punched coin sold for $34 ! Significant wear on the high points, but sufficient hair to avoid VF20. The critter on the reverse is missing significant details on hair on the higher points. Report this Post to the Staff

After looking at them definitely not anywhere near an MS as I had previously thought lol.
