Im not even going to claim I have a basic knowledge of grading notes although Goatie did send me some valuable information not long ago.

Got this one for $1 at the bank a few weeks ago.

All opinions valued. Thanks!

Look EF to me Enworb, the top right corner on the reverse looks like it's had a small dog ear ( slight crease ) & the little bit of foxing ( small brown stain ) on the bottom edge on the reverse.
Good score for $1 though

Hi enworb,

The note looks like it has come through life in a pretty good state. Always an interesting exercise to try and grade from photos - folds/creases aren't always obvious until you see the note in the flesh.

Looks to be a couple of small dings on the top of the note (over the "O" and "E" in Commonwealth) but appleangel07's EF seems to be on the money.

Yeah looks like a small nick/cut over the "O", but just a crease with some muck over the E. Slight corner crease (tight/small crease), a little greenish stain too.

Seems to be in very nice condition. If it's crisp & straight, the few issues would still keep it above VF.

Are you sure you didn't get it from a BAR? like the serial would suggest.

Most banks have people bring them back from time to time. I have several banks which call me if anything comes in. Other than that every couple of months I spend a day or two visiting as many banks as possible over Adelaide asking for old notes, round 50c and 1 and 2 cent coins.
