This Krugerrand in the photo below, is the one of four me and my fiance inherited recently. We took all four into a coin dealership in the city and decided to get rid of them all. We got a total of 564$ for the set of 4. Sold only for the gold content, ofc. Was this a mistake on our part? Could we possibly have gotten MUCH more than that say we sold them via inter web? I'm very curious if we could of gotten more bang out of them, even though they're is nothing we can do about it now. Thanks in advance everyone for input (:

btw, these coins were in mirror like condition. they all seemed to be uncirculated in any way, kept in tip-top shape. I was told these were listed on the unusual world coins guide but I'm unable to find them there..

I see on completed listing on ebay that the coins similar to yours went for around $200, so I guess you could've gotten about $200 more for the lot

I dont mean to sound too harsh (well a little) but why is it that you are asking this after selling them? I can understand if you are in serious need of the money right away though.

Keep in mind dealers will probably be able to tell if you don't know what you have or its value and that will easily lead some people into taking advantage of you. At least I would be worried about that happening. You should be able to get answers very quickly here so please think about doing the research before running out to sell, it could really pay off.

No point in asking about them now that you sold them. Why did you sell them anyways? Did you need the money....if you answer no, you should have just kept them

We needed the cash and had bills that needed to be paid.this is the one and only reason I'm interested in selling any ofour coins.believe me when I say it, I'd much rather hold onto them. Desperate times call for desperate measures):
