New-B question here but I know I can get a good answer. Are the 98,99,00 WAMs found on both Philly and Denver or just Philly pennies? Thanks for the help!

Just the Philly mint cents. The 92 Close AM's are on both(extremely rare but both have been found).

Thanks a million for the help and the link, I had been looking at coppercoins.com but now ill add this site to look through too! I have not even been looking at the 92s...looking at/for the variations on coppercoins I figured I better keep it simple and just been sorting the 98,99,00s and the 1995s for when I got a clue but getting so dern many I figured I better go through em. my copper quest slows down a bit more Thanks!

Thanks to John1 for his comprehensive reply.

I've been dabbling in coin collecting for many years, but have only recently become interested in error coins.

It's a whole new world for this relative newbie.

I have always felt that the reason no 1998,1999, or 2000 Denver cents have been found with the Proof Die reverse ( Wide AM) is because since 1996 Denver has produced their own dies. Philadelphia produces the dies for the Philadelphia business strikes, and San Francisco's Proofs. Denver doesn't deal with the Proof dies, so no mix-ups can occur in Denver. Since both types of reverse dies are made in Philadelphia, mix-ups can occur. Wouldn't surprise me if more years of post-1992 Philadelphia circulation cents turn up with WAM's. I'm always on the lookout for them. Supposedly a 1996 WAM exists but there has been nothing in the numismatic press regarding it for quite some time.
