Well that's a nice find if it turns out to be the FG for a 1988!!Lets see what Coop and Coppercoins have to say!!( not that I have any doubt John1 knows what he is talkin about, just good to get 2nd and 3rd opionions !) Great Pic btw! Good luck!

Location and upper part of the G look correct for 89, but better pics would be needed for any positive ID

The "G" has been damaged;can't say for sure one way or the other.

I didn't notice that until I put the scope right down on to it. At first it did look like it.

It might just be over abraded. I see no horizontal bar or the little "leg" that are normally on the '89.

Additionally, the FG is appears to be very close to the base of the monument, which IIRC is another characteristic of the '88.
