Being from Vermont, I'm quite accustomed to seeing Canadian coins in circulation. Up there they are universally treated as of equivalent value, and perception is 99% of the law. However, that was then, and in New Jersey you don't see anything like that. So, I have to deliberately buy Canadian coins if I want any. Here's my first: It's the 4th-most common Canada Sovereign, but with a mintage of only 58,875 it can hardly be considered common. It currently resides in a PCGS MS62 slab, probably where it will stay because I might upgrade it later.

Nice coin. Don't deal in those types but still a nice coin. I'm sort of partial to the maple leafs.

It's nice to see you branching out! I love my Sovereigns! I can never tell which Sovereign "State" they are really from though! They all have George on them, etc. When I look at them on Harlan Berk I get confused!

I wouldn't consider the 1917 common either. It's a nice one you got there!! I was reading that the there are only 50 or so known of the extremely rare 1916C,and was rumored to have been lost at sea during World war one.It also stated the 1916 London issue was considered rare, untill thousands of them were released from a British bank.Wouldn't that suck?!! :) sn31.

At the rate I'm going, Harlan Berk won't have many left by the time I'm done with them. Their pics make it difficult to see the mintmark, which is just above the date, but their attributions and grading are right on, so I'm unconcerned. They seem to offer the most reasonable prices of the ( many) online sources I've searched for Sovereigns. Unfortunately, they turn very few of them up. I paid essentially no premium for this coin, over a more common mintage from the same year, in the same condition. Can't complain.

Since you mentioned Harlan Berk a few weeks ago I went a little crazy on their U.S. Gold Indians and Liberties as well as the Sovereigns! I totally agree on their quality and what you see is what you get...pricing is great also. They shipped ASAP with no premium for shipping and I'm thrilled with the coins. Now there is competition on their site! I'll watch and see what comes and goes and I'll look forward to seeing more of your collection from them on the CCF. If I weren't so darn lazy lately I'd upload my pics on my Image Gallery and give them "credits". Great suggestion for hjb a while back SuperDave!

I revised them to get the color closer to correct, and they re-uploaded with extra characters in the filename. It's corrected.
