Never seen it, B. Looks Central or South American, obviously, but I don't know where lion monkeys reside. So give me a clue. I'll put it on my wish list. If whatever country it is gets its silver from Mexico, I can almost understand the level of purity but can't comment on its legitimacy. Mexican silver is said to be some of the finest in the world, though.

Okay, looks like you fixed the link. They're all tokens, I see. So what country produced them, I wonder?

I wouldn't think so, Trout, just by reading the inscription. Guess it would be hard to know for sure, though.

Trout,
I believe it's Bolivian silver. Would an outside agency be responsible for authenticating their silver purity claims?

its interesting but I like morgans and peace better. Plus I would stick to better known bullion like kooks, maple leafs, etc However it would be fun to get one or two

Dunno if .99999 or .999 makes any difference, except perhaps for a marketing point. I takes more expense in refining for a minuscule amount of silver extra.
Bit silly, when silver hoarders also seriously consider .90 coins. Perhaps someone can explain the real reasons for this.

Regardless of the purity of these they hold no interest to me. I do collect NCLT coins but I am not a hoarder of silver, I buy either for the design on the coin or ( and I hate to say it) to finish off a collection. The Aussie roos are a perfect example, Most of the coins have a great design but 3 of them are awful but I bought them regardless These are purely designed to appeal to the silver stacker's and at $8 over spot it may grab a few. Personally if I wanted to stack silver I would buy bars and not rounds from the Perth Mint,Which has a worldwide reputation as a silver supplier

I think you already guessed it, Sel. Purely for marketing purposes. Canada did something quite similar many moons past.

I am a hoarder, and they don't hold any interest for me either if they have a higher premium.

Neat coins, definitely legit. Some people like to pay an arm and leg for silver from a particular refinery, some for a particular company to says it perfect, and some for design, or history, or odd weight. Purity sounds like as good a reason as any other.

They're minted by the Royalsilver Mint. http://www.royalsilver.com/retailst...d_product=27Private company, so at most it is considered generic bullion. Interesting gimick, though you have to consider if 0.00001% silver is worth it They also have some kind of trust/membership. $5000/yr, and they pay you quarterly dividends of these silver coins.
