I've been reading alot about the high prices that are being asked by all these different tv and coin companies. I agree that they charge to much. That is why I don't buy from there. But thats me. My father occasionally buys from places like that and he doesn't mind the higher prices on things. He's pushing 70 and can't get out that much. Closest coin shop is about 2 hours and thats long for him. It gets shipped right to his door. To him its worth it. As for the quality of the coins they should a least be what they are promoting it as. If the coins are not up to snuff then something should be done about it. Just my opinion.

The sad part about littleton's high prices, is the coin shop I used to go too charges more than they do. To think I was overcharged for so many years without realizing it, I would have been better off buying through Littleton, then getting ripped off by my ex coin dealer.
Rest in Peace

Littleton has been around forever. They have two distinct marketing strategies. One is the "back of the magazine cover/novice/matchbook" audience. On the other hand they also deal with high end wealthy investment type collectors. I have not heard of Littleton over grading coins. In fact they have a reputation for being very conservative and strict with grading. That being said I agree that for the most part they are over priced for most collectors with access to other sources for coins. They do however accept returns, no questions asked. Just my Two Cents and perhaps prejudiced by me being a "Littleton" collector in my early days of collecting. I think many of us got started with them!!! Mike

It's called "supply and demand".

I'm sure you've heard of it by now.

They have that reputation for being very strict on the grading when BUYING. If they buy a VG it had better by gosh be a very strict no problem VG or they will reject it! But they will then send it out to their customers as a Fine or Fine 15.
