HI everyone, this type of holder seems to look much like intercept shield holders, but I am not sure as to the quality. Do you guys have any experience with Lighthouse Quadrum holders?
Here is an Amazon listing that I was pondering:

Good idea if you want to go down the more formal track of displaying / storing your coins in trays and a cabinet.
The tray method it often used by museums for their storage. Trays and cabinets is the method that the British Museum uses for storing most of their coins.

sel_69l- Thanks for the input. Well, I'm not really trying to display so much as that I would just like to have some sturdier holders for my dollar coins and other crown-sized coins. I know that Intercept Shield is a very nice product in terms of quality, but I was just wondering how this brand compares.

The similarities between the Quadrum and Intercept Shield holders is that they are both inert plastic 2x2s, both easily store on a tray made for 2x2s. The inserts are completely different, the IS brand is made of some kind of neutralized fiberboard and fits the coin mm listed on the package exactly. The Quardrum brand is made of volara foam, similar to the rings for Air-Tites, they have some give if the coin is larger than the opening. They seem to be a more attractive holder than the IS, but is relatively difficult to find. Not too many supply houses stock them.

Bizybackson- Thanks for the input! So you do think that in many regards they are just as good as IS holders? I thought that the inserts for IS contained some kind of desiccate. However, I suppose that this is not true for Quadrum.
