within the next few days or so Bobby and Susan will be listing Just about every coin from my Dansco 7070 album on ebay for me. I really struggled with how to come up with the money needed to pay off my ex-wife for the divorce settlement and this was one way I figured I may be able to come up with some of it. So if any of you out there has seen any of the coins in my album that you really would like to have here is a link to my coins they are selling http://stores.ebay.com/CCF-Numismat...%22bryanr%22 Some that were in the album were from my Grandfather and just meant a little more to me than they would bring in value so those I kept but there is over 70 coins that they will be listing from the album plus a few other coins from my collection that weren't in the album (mostly slabbed coins). Check back often as they will be adding them little at a time until they get them all listed

Bryan, I'm so sorry to see it come to this. We all gotta do what we gotta do sometimes I guess. I will have my eye on a few of the coins and will get the bids up there in the very least. Good luck with things in the future. I hope this doesn't end your collecting.

:( I actually have your collection as a bookmark: http://home.roadrunner.com/~kbr1315...sco7070.html

Before I got my 7070 I used to admire yours. I still look at it from time to time to compare how mine is coming along. My favorite coins of yours are the Capped Bust quarter and the liberty Seated quarter. beautiful toning!

Anyways, it's a shame to see you have to sell this collection, I'm sure it took a while to assemble. I hope your collection sells for what you are expecting. Good luck!

well I struggled with this but there wasn't anything in the album that can not be replaced at a later time and I will definitely not stop collecting because of this. There are a few coins that were in the album that my grandfather gave me that will not be included in the sale but the rest are in there. Some have been sent to TPG's to get regraded so those will be up a little later (like the Trade dollar, that way everyone will know its authentic). murrellington, Thanks for the kind words about the album and I really don't know if I should leave the page up after the sale is complete and just start a separate one for the 7070 part2 or take it down. There have been others that say they use it as a reference to the 7070 also so I really don't know what to do with it yet but it was great fun to build and was actually one of the sets I have put together that everyone loved to look at because of all the different types of coins in there

Glad to hear that this isn't stopping your collecting! And if you do decide to take the page down, i'll just save the pictures, that's not too hard to do. Anyways, hope everything turns out for you!

Oh and I've wanted to ask you, how did you pgotograph your album? Doesn't look like a scan, but it seems like it would be hard to capture a whole page with a camera..

I scanned the album pages and then cropped out each hole and placed pictures of the coins I took with the camera in the cropped out places. I took pictures of each coin in the album so when they were placed in the cropped out hole it would look as if it was never edited

Woah, that is brilliant. I thought it looked like a scan but then the photos are too good. When I photograph my set I will try that :) thanks for sharing.

And that's cool because as you add coins you don't have to take a new picture of the page, you can just add the photos in 1 by 1. I like it!

Wow, sorry to hear you have to part with those, that is a great set. Glad you decided to keep some of them that had belonged to your grandfather. You can't replace something like that.

I have had a couple emails that I feel I need to address so everyone will know the answers to these questions

Quote:
have all the coins besides the one listed on the page you posted a link to on the forum already sold

No, there have only been 7 coins listed so far

Quote:
Do you know when (enter specific coin) will be listed and how much it will be listed for

Susan is in control of this and I have no idea when any of the specific coins will be listed nor do I know what the price will be set at.

Quote:
what made you decide to sell the coins from this album? Are you just sick of the set

Absolutely not, I love this set, it was pretty much just a strategy decision. I needed to raise money and just about every coin in this album can be replaced at a later time while some other coins in my collection I would never be able to replace. No matter how much I love the coins they do not keep the rain off my daughters and my head when it rains like my house does and the money I make from the sell will hopefully allow me to stay in the house

Quote:
do you have better pictures of <coin type here>

I do have most of the coins imaged on my computer so if there is anything you would like to see better pictures of just ask

If there is any questions I didn't answer through emails or on here or just if you have more you can post them here or send me an email and I will try to answer them as well.
