I don't have many error coins, and this one almost slipped through without me noticing.

The Queen seems to have an umbilical cord attached to her neck.

Anyone seen this error before? Can someone tell me how it most likely happened?

Please excuse the chromatic aberration of me closeup lenses.

Is it a raised piece of metal or a black mark on the coin?

It doesn't appear to be raised, or if it is only a very small amount.

Then my guess either staining on the planchet from oil used in an annealing process or its a mark put there by a coin rolling machine. Either way its pretty funky looking.
