I have 40 WEB NOTES that I want to part with (dedicating funds to my 7070) with approx. values of $4.00 to $79.00, for a total approx. value of $700. Would it worth listing these as a "Lottery Style" sale with a price of $17.50 each (700 / 40 = 17.50)? I placed them into individual semi-rigid sleeves (as are all of my paper currencies), shuffle them (so to speak) and whenever someone "buys-it-now", they would receive one at random. Or should I list these as individuals? I like the Lottery idea, but am I alone?

17 of these notes have single digit (4 to 9 dollars) values, whereas, 23 have double digit (10 to 79 dollars).

I would of course post a list of S/N and other identifying info (Front/Back Plates).

Maybe I am thinking about this all wrong.

Your thoughts, please!

I would sell as individuals. Though I have no doubts that you would be honest with it, when someone doesn't know exactly what they are getting it raises all sorts of red flags of scam. Even though it would be legitimate, I think it would drive many likely buyers away because it would smell fishy.

I reckon that if little to no effort is applied, there is nothing to be gained. (back to the scanner for more images)

I am sure that I am plagiarizing someone.

I see your listing on the BST. It would be interesting too see how it progresses for you.
Best wishes

My personal observation around here...and not to offend anyone....is that I am NOT SURE what folks are really collecting by way of currency here at CCF, who are willing to pay a premium for a "currency collection"....This IS KEY.

Based on what I am seeing here....the so called currency collection around here...is random.....mix and match set...at the end of the day....just a bunch of notes that are worth FACE value....maybe with a random note worth more than face.

FOR Instance...there is a forum member here who had some decent items which he wanted to sell. Knowing what goes on here he listed the items on another forum....Before I could register for that particular site etc they were sold....So this person themselves figured it out.

FWIW -- I have a learnt a LOT from CCF regarding COIN collecting / grading....made some decent contacts......equitable trades along the way....etc...but.....but.....but..... the currency area seems to be A rather childish collection.

To circle back -- best wishes on your listings.

If you want to make it easier on everyone to find it, please add the link of your sale list to your signature.

I'm interested in web notes and I'll take a look to see what I need.
