Poor red neck,
I really like what you did with the first coin. The lighting is even, and the background doesn't distract me from the coin. Even if the picture wasn't taken with a DSLR it still looks great and professional.
Try to avoid using photos if there's any glare or shadowing on the coin. I use solid color backgrounds for my listings.

The presentation of your picture and listing description will say a lot about you as a seller and the quality of your items.

Joblll

Thank you!

I took the first ones with no flash, but I can't hold my hands steady enough to get it nice and crisp. I'll rig-up some kind of stand to hold the camera still. Gives me an excuse to fire up the welder and make something,

I updated my previous post.... I linked to my first "test" auction. Again, not sure if I can send ebay links yet, but I'm just seeking opinions on the listing, not promoting the listing.

How's that?

I use a non reflective black bacground and good advice, no glare on the coins. Your pictures are very decent...you should have no problems. As long as it's a fairly close representation of the coin the buyer will have in hand, unlike Raymo52's IHC which BTW, was an awesome score.

Your auction looks great BTW. Some of the more common coins, you can probably sell in lots too.

Wow! Lots of coins to go through! I am not a (I believe it's called) Darkside collector, but there are MANY who are in the CCF.

Wow, don't thing I'll get to that many posts any time soon. Oh well. I could have sworn I read something about posting a link to an ebay auction (not selling within the forum), and it was significantly less posts.

Yes there are alot of coins... alot...

That's half the foreign coins.

There's about 200 lbs worth of old copper pennies, a couple tubes of poor condition Buffalo nickels, and countless other various coins that don't have a numismatic value (guess it was just the throw-your-change-in-the-bucket collection.)

You could always stick around here for a while and accumulate enough posts to sell here. This way you could avoid all the possible things that could, might, should, would, etc. go wrong on ebay.
