A couple of days ago I received a 1968 Canadian dime in my change. 1st time that's happened in a couple of decades.

Here in Saskatchewan, it tends to take a while for 2017 coins to show up from around where I live, so I was quite surprised to find one of these: And I was even more surprised to find a second one from a different location (well, my mother found that one). Then I got a little frustrated when I found this: So close.

Two days ago I went to local store and after my purchase I got 27 cents in change back. 1 quarter 2 pennies. All were keepers. 1. US Washington quarter with reverse clash. 1st one of those I have found. 2 US LWC 1918-D 3. Canadian 1 Cent 1975. I get Canadian cents often here in NW Montana especially in the summer months. I Have decided to start a Canadian Nickel and Cent book. All in All it was a great day for the pocket change finds.

A PL millennium quarter. And it's been a long time since I found any of these in circulation. Very tricky to photograph with the mirror finish. Edit: speak of the devil.

2 1965 (almost BU) Canadian pennies received in change in Massachusetts. They must have been part of a collection. There is no way they have been in circulation more than a week. There is a black smudge on the Observe side of one, and the Reverse side of the other (though I wish they were on the same coin). I see Canadian coins in my change from time to time, but never this old, and in this condition.

My store lady helped me out again. She has saved about $40 face in Canadian coins. $2.00 face in cents, the rest in nickels, dimes and quarters. All for $20.00 US. Some of the cents were Magnetic, Some P mintmarks and some non magnetic and several were BU choice. But none were 2012, all QE from 1953 to 2011. and a few Geo IV.
There was one 68 silver quarter and a dime. The rest magnetic QE. I will check for P on the 2000 dimes. and others for valuable ones, and bring the rest when we go to Victoria for spending money.

Watched a change drawer open the other day and saw the old queen on a quarter looking at me 15 times over. Being as pleasant as can be, I asked for change for a loonie. I wish I had got 4 quarters, but only 2. Dimes and nickels for the rest this time. Walked away with 2 beautiful July 1999's fresh from an old roll. What gives with these old rolls ending up at the LCBO?
A few days later, on a road trip, picked up 2 Stanley cup quarters, from another roll at the LCBO, after asking the teller if she had seen any of the new change going around. She said no, but did not care either. Thought I had lost out, checked them anyways, and danced to the car as I walked away.
It still gets better, wife came home with a 2016 loonie from the pop machine at work. Nice one too.
1 day later, I got another 2016 loonie in change. So they might be coming out now. This one has been around already.
Today, got the first circulation 150 Toonie {glow in the dark} from no frills.
Just before I forget, also got a 2011 Peregrine Falcon, colourised.
Best of luck in the hunt.

Good score from timmies. Glad the teller was not a collector. It is far and few between, but I got a silver 68 quarter not to long ago.
Keep diggin'.
