Anyone has this colored timber wolf silver coin?

http://www.apmex.com/Product/69581/..._Series.aspx

Is this coin colorized by RCM or APMEX?

It is stated in the advert to be coloured by an experienced third party.
So this makes this a PMD coin, surly not worth $90

Its still pretty awesome looking, at least in the photo.
It may not be worth $ 90 to own one, but looking at the photo is free! :)

not bad.
given that regular wolfs now go for anywhere between $65-80, this is not a bad deal. Especially since 90% of the wolfs, even the sealed ones, are spotted with the unsightly RCM milky patches.

^I was sort of thinking the same thing. The coin is already a premium coin. I wonder if after market mods ever become sought after themselves?

Beautiful coin. That said, I don't think I'd ever collect colorized coins.

If the colored wolf one sells fast, I think APMEX may keep coloring the Grizzly Bear, the Cougar and the Moose as well.

I still maintain my position. Whomever things its a stupid idea, a money-trap, a damaged coin, waste of money etc....
To look at the photo is 100% free! Its awesome looking.
Imagine what all six coins in the set would look like, full color, in a display box.

Who knows, perhaps the Mint will be inspired one day and release a full color coin similar like this one.

The 25th anniversary of the Silver Maple Leaf is this year. (Anybody have the exact date?).
How cool would it be to have a full color version of it?

While I do agree that it looks cool, it is none the less PMD in my opinion, and as such, not worth the price.

i wonder how long the color will last on them....to me anything that is not plan from a goverment mint or private mint on a coin or bullion is considered a money trap

Trap or not I like it. I've made worst decisions in my life and spending a $100 bucks on a coin I want doesn't sound unreasonable. The pictures just not enough I need more!

I like it. I've got all the coins in the set with the PMD gold added because I like them. I don't ever expect to get my money back let alone make a profit on them. But I didn't buy them as an investment, I bought them as collectable art that I enjoy.
