well its hard to tell from pics as lighting can do things to a coin. I'm guessing perhaps AU-low MS?

The lighting in the photo and lack of sharpness makes it hard to see what the luster really looks like. I'm also not 100% convinced the coin is genuine. Sharper photos and close ups of the lettering, shield and some of the divots in the fields would help. I will hold off on a grade until we can get some clearer photos.

My guess is AU55 based on what can be seen.

Here is another picture taken just now. not sure exactly what lighting is best, although this is the only angle I can find to show any defects/wear. All other angles show nothing. I know it is a genuine coin from experience, I am leaning towards AU58 which would be pretty good deal from the purchase price.

I've been collecting for about 2-3 months these Eagles. This Liberty is my latest (8th) coin.

I love those Indian gold coins! Now that is what I call a 401K/IRA plan.

Now I know why the price of gold is sky-rocketing!! YOU have it all!!

What a nice collection of Indians!!

I would grade your 1902 S Half Eagle at AU55 from the second pictures and MS62 from the first ones. A beauty for sure!!

Guess I was off on that. Just seems like a lot of wear at top of hair.

Being at least AU, $415 seems to have been a fair price.
