With the prices of PM going down I figure that the set for the Star Spangle coin set I ordered from the US Mint was going to be lower, reflecting with the price of PM.

Why on earth the Mint is raising prices now?

I paid $535.70+ shipping from the Mint, now is $547.85+ shipping.

That is a bit strange. They did previously lower the prices on the gold coins in response to lower spot prices for the metal. Not sure why they would raise them when the overall gold trend continues to be lower.

Did the individual coin prices change as well?

An unusual quirk for this release...the most expensive time to buy the gold coins was during the first week or so after their release. Even though the pre-issue discount was in effect, it was less than the amount by which they subsequently lowered the coins' prices due to falling gold values.

The price difference was $12.15 for the set, I think individual may also have received the fair shares of price increase.

@specksynder,
I have to take the picture at that angle to avoid overall reflection, proof coins are hard to picture.

Usually the Mint has a discount for the first 30 days or so. Maybe that is why?

they just took the discount away. The Commemorative Dollar prices don't seem to be tied to bullion prices.
