It is hard to tell with the photographs. I haven't heard of any fakes for the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Columbus sets. That doesn't mean its not possible. Personally I would feel confident bidding, if the seller accepted refunds. Atleast with a refund, once you receive the coins you could take it to your coin shop and have them authenticate it. If it then turned out to be fake, you have the option of returning it. Like I said, I haven't heard of any fakes for these commemeratives.

The Constitution set is the least expensive of the bunch. I own one and the price always hovers slightly above the melt value of gold. The constitution set will not make you rich. I'm not too sure about the others. I would check the completed auctions for each of them and see how much they sell for individually.

There's NOTHING rare about them. No one in their right mind would fake these coins. If you like them and trust that the seller will deliver then go for it.

Welcome to Coin Community, JayTuffLuck. You've come to the right place.

Those are all silver Proof sets, very likely real because they're not worth counterfeiting. A little research of past ebay sales indicates that you could duplicate the whole set for less than $75 with a little judicious shopping.

On an unrelated note, that seller very likely lives within walking distance from me.

The seller is selling these as is, no refunds. I'd want clearer pictures before I bid. The coins could be toned, scratched etc and you would be stuck with them.
Rest in Peace

Jay, welcome to the forum! Plenty of friendly folk here and lots of experience represented among the membership.

While it's unlikely these are fakes, there's a few too many rad flags on this auction's seller. No returns, three negative feedbacks for relatively few transactions, over-hyped title and description, and fuzzy images are all justification for passing on this one.

JayTuffLuck - Welcome to the forum. As most members here will confirm - I love counterfeits of all sorts. I have never heard of anyone forging these varieties yet.

However, I agree with the others - DON'T bid on an auction like this one too quickly. Get better scans and don't accept anything but a clear picture of exactly what you are getting. These are NOT rare items and I would be cautious. Have you been to a local shop or better a coin show where you could see lost of similar material.
