I have a 2005 S Sac. Graded by PCGS PR69DCAM The question I have is, Has anyone seen an Error, (I think) on the designers initials, The baby's Nose and lips, The Blanket, But I cannot get a very good Pic of that. The design on the mothers dress, to the right of the initials also shows some doubling to the south. I really need some expert advice on this.
Thank you
James

Seems like it has to be double-struck since incuse elements are doubled... Can you look very closely at some of the lettering in the fields to see if there are any traces of doubling (any kind of doubling) there as well?

I've heard that when the initials are incuse like those are that what appears to be a doubled die is actually just Machine Doubling.

The proofs are struck more than once but I don't know if this is directly a result of that. I know the edge of Presidential dollars almost always show some type of doubling when struck more than once.

Thanks Captain, I do see some Machine Doubling on Liberty ( The Flat Kind) It is hard for me to get good pic of that through the holder. All other lettering seems OK, Very hard to see the Rim of the coin. I really do not want to crack it out of the holder.
Thank you all for the replies, I guess I have just a normal coin then. I have been watching E-bay for a like error and none have shown up. I thought for sure some one on there would try to make a fortune trying to sell it.
Thank you all again
James
