Machine struck cash of the Ming, Guang Xu Tong Bao Guangdong, about 2.98 is 1890-95 and about 2.61 grammes is 1895-99. This looks like the earlier.

It is a Ching dynasty coin, a machine-struck 1 cash piece of 1890-1908. The earlier 1889 issue has 4 characters on the reverse, as well as 4 on the obverse. There is also a scarce variety with the bottom right stroke of Kuang coming down straight from the horizontal stroke, which is also believed to have been produced in 1889.
