w00zi Valued Member United States 168 Posts	Posted 06/27/2012 10:20 pm This is a coin posted on a different forum and I think I attributed it correctly as; Emperor Gratian, AE2, minted in city of Arles. 378-383 AD. DN GRATIA-NVS PF AVG, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right / REPARATIO REIPVB, Gratian standing front, head left, holding Victory on globe and raising kneeling female on left. Mintmark PCON. RIC IX Arles 20a. Rarity: Common. What I find odd about this example is that victory isn't standing on a globe. I tried searching RIC for an example like this but failed. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 06/27/2012 10:40 pm I think that little shape between Victories legs is supposed to be the globe. I didn't find any reference of Victory without a globe. Unless it is an unlisted example, your attribution appears to be correct. Report this Post to the Staff
