Here's a Constantine l Campgate,
mint mark SMTSr...Thessalonica....

Funny that they would put a $5 coin in a slab..on one side it says temper proof and the other side you can open and take the coin out...
I had to get my first Certified Ancient!!.....What would you pay for this coin.?....I will post what I paid for this later.....

Sorry to say but this is not a recognized Third Party Grading Service, so your coin is not really certified. Though it is a real ancient coin. Based on the condition of your coin, it's value is around $5.00.

This "slab" is a Coin World holder (first picture, lower left corner logo), so anybody can be an expert and make their own inserts and put whatever grade they want.

jw

you always have nice coins, I paid a whopping $ 7.50 for a fake certified coin, sounds like I over paid by $ 2.50........

Agreed that the basement slabber adds no value ... but assume the coin itself is genuine?

Latest reply from the OP leads me to wonder if the coin is authentic?

Also, the slab would have had more details about the coin if it were real. If nothing else, you have a small plastic holder for the coin. Assuming that you like those for coins.

Hey, is this a long weekend for you guys too?

July 1st is Canada Day (which is Sunday, so we get to take our holiday of Monday) ... July 4th is your Birthday, correct? (so you guys get a Hump-day Wednesday Holiday this year?)

Bing => I'm not NUTS ... I'm just high on life (or high anyway)
