first of all I hope this post is in the correct forum. sorry if its not. I have a 'toy coin' I don't know much about and I would love to know if its of any value.

Balmberger made toy coins from 1871 until the late 60's when they switched to plumbing and heating products, eventually closing in 2000. Originally they made medals and spielmarks for the domestic market but expanded heavily into the British market and also France.
Their coin s are perhaps not so common as Lauer playmoney, but seem not to command too much of a premium.

Via Google, one BAVARIEN SPIELMARK Half penny sold on ebay for £3.65.
