hey ccf

i need a lil help! I went on a gamble and bought it for 16 bucks! I think its real because the sig have oxidized, but I cant find anything on this richmond sept 12, 1862 ten dollar note

Have you tried looking at Crutchfields currency? You can search for the page (I can't list links yet on this forum) and see a list of notes and the fake notes as well.

Yours looks like a CSA Issue of 1862 T46 However, please take a look at T48 for comparison.

Also look at this bogus note page. Your serial number is hard to read, but I don't think I saw it listed.

thanks my serial # is 72059 ... and that website you gave me is pretty helpful! mines is the T46 :)! the bogus T48 is similar but on the left corner instead of the # 10 in "10" its spelled out "TEN" thank you soooo much!
