In addition to the following:
- Canadian Coast Guard coins and scraps of steel,
- Chinese blessings in Au and Ag,
- bits of crystal on a big pink flower,
- another loon,
- a gold-rush piece on gold,
- 2nd (meh) issue in the group of 7,
- silver bug
- and more boats/ships (am I missing anything?)
The
RCM will be issuing out a series of 4 coins featuring wildlife artist Robert Bateman's painting of a bull and cow moose. The weights will be 1kg silver, 1kg gold, 1oz gold, and 1oz platinum. Mintage under 1000 I think for each of the 4. Price, several times PM values ofcourse.
The coins will feature just the head of either the bull or the cow. Even though I feel that the
RCM picked one of the least impressive of Bateman's pieces, the profile of a moose on a 1kg silver coin with no other distractions or adornments is actually quite stunning.
