My collection of 4 bimetallic coins of India.

There are 6 bimetallic coins so far in India. Will surely share the pics of the remaining two in the coming weeks.

First bimetallic coin was released in 2009 though it was dated 2006 in the coin.

I rather like the .925 silver centre Mexican $10 and $20 bi metallic coins, which actually circulated in the early 1990's.

I have not been able to find ANY coins after these ones, that had silver in them, and were in normal circulation.

I dont think we are going to find any silver containing bimetallic coins in the near future ... its not practical nowadays to mint any silver coins for circulation , people will surely melt it :)

They are very much like the Thai 10 Baht coins and indeed 1 and 2 Euros and Russian 10 Rubles that have been in circulation for a number of years now. No silver involved.

Also seem similar to the £2 British coin but not easy to tell the scale from a photo.
