Look at this picture, and can anyone tell me how there is letters within letters...?

looks like Die Deterioration to me from the images.

Ya nickelsguy, normally die deteriation happens from the letter/number towards the outside of the letter/number, this is sunken down in the middle of the letters...

Some people call this extra metal on the letters. It is common on the 2001 nickels
