Looks more like a small die dent. It would make a raised area on the coin.

Just so you don't get confused...a die chip would also be raised.

A die dent would be raised and that is what I'm seeing. The field is the outside part of the die. If it is bumped it makes an indentation on the die, a raised area on the coin.

Not argueing that point coop...just that a chip is raised too. So he doesn't think raised automatically equals dent.
