This is the third coin in my upgrades for 1878 varieties - again, I know it is a VAM, but don't know which, or if there's anything about it that makes it special.

I think this one to be the "C3" reverse, characterized by a "squared-off" tailfeather at viewer's bottom right next to the leg. That would limit this coin to VAMs 220-232. There are a few interesting VAMs in that bunch, but the images are a tad small to narrow things down easily. This may be upon you, with a loupe and some painstaking comparisons at VAMworld.

Oh, I'd be happy to do the legwork. All you have to do is provide huge images of both faces in microscopic detail.
