I have a Whitman Deluxe slab box and it works great. Fits both my PCGS and NGC slabs. Not sure about the new ANACS holders, but the older small holders don't fit. I only have PCGS boxes to compare it with and no NGC boxes. I like the velvet lined inside of the Whitman Deluxe, it make the slabs sit nice and tight and they don't move around or rattle like they can in the PCGS boxes. I would shop around for a deal first before you buy. Can usually pick these up at coin shows for a good deal.

I am currently using the whitman box to hold some of my slabs. The one I have has the felt lining and currently holds PCGS, NGC, and the current ANACS slabs. I have found that the NGC slabs are just slightly too big for each of the slots so you may run into some problems getting 3 or more NGC slabs in adjacent slots to fit nicely. I have tried putting multiple NGC slabs next to one another in both the one with and without the felt and they both have the same problem. Now if you alternate the NGC slabs with PCGS and ANACS, which is generally how I have it, then you should have no problems fitting all three slabs in the box. If most of your slabs are from NGC then I think you would be better off with the NGC box though I have never owned one. Like mmorgan22 said, there is no rattling unlike the PCGS boxes.

Thanks for the replies! I currently have a mixture of PCGS slabs and Coin World Premier slabs (identical to PCGS) in coin wold slab boxes. I hate to ignore NGC because I don't have a storage solution for them and these Whitman Deluxe boxes looked to be the solution. No rattling, I like that. I assume the NGC boxes are popular because they are more readily available and hold PCGS slabs too? They seem like a fairly basic box. What is the exterior size of the Whitman Deluxe boxes? The Whitman site does not state the size. Valley Coin has the deluxe version for $9.74 ea + a flat shipping of $5.49 for the order. Best deal I can find online at the moment. mmorgan22, I will keep searching...

I just measured mine and the dimensions are approximately 9" x 2.625" x 3.5". I have heard that the NGC boxes can hold PCGS but I have never tried it so I don't know how well.

I used to use PCGS boxes but NGC slabs wouldn't fit in them so I went to NGC boxes and I like them because all slabs seem to fit pretty well in there including the newer ANACS and CoinWorld self made slabs. I like the looks of the NGC boxes over the PCGS boxes also. I have never tried the whitman boxes so I can't comment on them

The NGC boxes are 10.25 x 3.5 x 2.875 The Whitman Deluxe are 9.0 x 3.5 x 2.625
Both hold 20 slabs, the NGC is 1.25 inches longer so there must be some extra room in it for the thicker NGC slabs. Since the NGC box is so much longer I would think that the thinner PCGS slabs would have extra room in these NGC boxes and the slabs would rattle. They must rattle a little bit since there isn't any padding.
Thanks again for the comments, any further thoughts are appreciated!

yes the PCGS slabs do not fit tight in the NGC box but they rattle even in the Blue PCGS boxes, the only difference is that you can't get a NGC slab in the PCGS box. Its been awhile since I used a PCGS box but if I remember correctly the NGC slabs would fit in the compartments they were just to tall to close the lid all the way. I do know the PCGS slabs have just as much play in the NGC box as the NGC slabs do because the NGC box has cut outs on the sides that the PCGS slabs use that the NGC slabs do not Hopefully this will show what I am talking about So the way the box is made the PCGS slabs fit just as good in here if not better than they did in the PCGS box

D0ubl3Eagle - Thanks for the measurement of the Whitman Box.
Bryan1315 - Thanks for the picture. I was under the assumption that the NGC box just happened to fit the PCGS slabs, but as you showed, there are extra slots in the edge to accommodate the PCGS slabs correctly. Also, an amazing 7070 you have! My type set is going into these boxes we are discussing here. I started with the 7070, but moved exclusively to slabs/Coin World Premier holders to include some coins Dansco didn't. Mine is not nearly as high grade as yours, nonetheless certainly a challenge to complete .
Thanks everyone for your assistance!

Just went with 6 new NGC storage boxes from ebay for $59.47 shipped. Best deal I could fine. Even the used ones on APMEX are quite expensive. Can't wait to get them!

I use intercept shield slab boxes, and sure wish I could find some more. I have three of these and have all 3 major types of slabs. Some don't fit like a glove but they all fit. If anyone knows where these can still be bought, let me know. Please and Thank You.

I received the NGC boxes yesterday. Nice! The Coin World premier coin holders are a little snug fitting, but overall a nice storage box.
