Do you think a seller is allowed to say this coin is very rare.Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing.Item number: 130723335548

The word rare is commonly used on ebay. I just went to the coins Canada category and typed the word rare. It came up with 1874 results. I bet most of these coins are not rare.

Sellers try and say every thing they can get away with to attract attention to their listings. Just what my observations have been (Not trying to start a discussion here) but India has many, many rare coins.

As always Buy The Coin & not the holder and /or description, Check for yourself first......

The engraved or incuse 2 in my opinion is harder to find than the regular 2.The colorized ones were included at random in the rolls which again reduce the odds at getting one.Did you ever find one in your change? Then it must be rare.LOL

According to my Charlton the Raised 2 is the rare variety with a mintage of 200k vs the incused 2 mintage of 21,800k. I don't see almost 22 million coins being rare in anyone's definition! :-). I've seen the raised 2 sell frequently for $11-$13 but I paid $1 for a high grade example of the etched one at a coin shop last summer.
