A friend of mine has the following banknote.

1956-South-West-Africa-Five-Pound-Note---Value-Query

This is a five pound note from 1956 from South West Africa.

Very nice note your friend has.
Krause lists it as P-6a. CV is listed bellow:
Good- $110
Fine- $250
XF- $550

I would see if there have been any sales recently on ebay and other auction sites to get an actual real market value of the note.
