My 2nd Currency Album, For $2.00 And Type Small Size Bills

Couple weeks ago I posted the first currency album

I still had a lot of other bills in my collection and wanted to figure a way to display and organize them.

I ended up putting this album together and changing my first one. I took the Hawaii notes and the 1928 red seal and put them into this album.

I hope to put, one each, of every series of two dollar bills, from 1928.

After them, I am putting three of each type
for example
$1,$2,$5 Red seal (USN)
$1,$5,$20 Brown seal (Hawaii)
$1,$5,$10 Yellow seal (North Africa)
$1,$5,$10 Blue seal (silver certificate)
$5,10,$20 Green seal (Federal Reserve note)

I also plan to put a set of what I call Big heads (1999)
and a set of current colorized bills .. that I hope to find a my bank.

I still consider myself a middle class collector so not all my bills will be CU notes .. but I do like them as nice as I can afford.

Yellow seal North Africa notes. I also picked up the $5 and $10 yellow seal this weekend .. when they gave me the idea how to set up my album.

Blue seal Silver Certificate. I think I know where a $10 blue seal is, and hope I can get it this week.

Green seal Federal reserve notes, the $10 I found in a used book I had bought it is a 1950 E, the $5 I got in circulation, a 1950 B, I will be looking for a 1950 series $20

My Big Heads .. I pulled these from circulation in 1999 I need to find another $20 .. I had one .. but somehow the pizza delivery lady got it ..

Very nice, you have a pretty big collection. And nicely organized too, I just might put my notes in a binder later on.

They are really lovely and so well set up ... congratulations. I have a few notes that came with some coins I bought. I wasn't sure what to do with them. Now I've seen yours, I will start up an album for notes too.

This is a similar sort of collection to the one I am working on for US notes.

My British collection I try to get all the signatures and varieties, but for US I pretty much ignore the signatures and try to make a type collection each denomination with each colour seal and small heads/large heads and colourized.

I will add to that just a couple of the earlier notes (black eagle and woodchopper, and $1 and $2 early notes and a couple of larger notes) and then I will be satisfied I will have a presentable type collection for the US.

I am using similar albums to you but made by a different company with slightly larger pockets. The benifit is that I can put larger size notes in the same album. It does look neat though when they all fit perfectly like yours though.

DavidUK - sounds like you are a nice collection .. is there a thread here that shows what your album looks like?

If not feel free to post pics on this link .. or start a new one .. I liked to see how yours looks.
