Hmm radio tuneable coins seems like an interesting gimmick.

brexzz1 are you saying that the coins were detected by the radiation scanners when you entered the US? I'm assuming that you were driving.

If you are not kidding, please elaborate as this is an interesting event.

I wonder if they used Tritium ?
If so, the coin may stop glowing after 12 yrs. or so.

Unlikely. These coins require time in a light source to 'charge' and their glow gradually diminishes as the charge wears off.

Tritium typically is self luminous and doesn't require a charge. Not to mention that it's cost prohibitive on a 30$ coin.

Didn't you see a warning on RCM's site that Dino coins should be kept in their cases separately? Putting 25 or more coins in a tube may result undesired effect, including (but not limited to) local chain reaction. Keeping 50 or more coins inside a single house (no matter in cases or in tubes) voids house insurance.

Now, when truth is finally revealed, it's pretty obvious what RCM meant by "Technical challenges related to new technology". There must've been some small KABOOM and now they need time to recover. It also explain all the shipping delays for all the other coins.
