I am taking a history course and it is quite interesting to see what kind of (key) Canadian history events have been illustrated by coins, esp Commemoratives coins.

I am thinking to set up a website, tentative title is "Canadian history on money (coins & bank notes)".

Sound a good idea?

I think such a site has the potential to be a very interesting and informative resource on the web.

I wish you "Good luck!" with making it happen. Please keep us updated with your progress.

I didn't have much use for history when I was younger (I'm in my 40's now), but the more I get into coins and especially old paper money, the more fascinating Canadian history becomes. From the evolution of currency to what images and people are placed on each note.

I think I may need to buy one Canadian coins software application to help me on this topic.

I just did a google search and found this one: http://www.libertystreet.com/CoinMngCan.htm.

Is it good? Or shall I use another? I do not mind to spend a few dozens dollars on that.

Thank you.

There is a lot to talk about history, and NCLT coins are a testament of that history that will last for a very, very long time.
