Armaguard has done it again! Guess what this week's noodling bags are? That's right; $400 of sealed bags of 2011 50ΒΆ. I will be opening them all and sorting out just the very best (no bag marks please) to keep. So, if anyone wants a small quantity I can oblige. Jeff

Fossicking mullock (waste) heaps at opal and gold diggings is called noodling. I guess a similarity there?
But, why is fossicking called noodling? I don't know that.
Over to the experts......

Quote: You aussies are a completely different breed No, you Americans are the different ones, in this Aussie section of the forum. We understand most of the "Yank" [politically incorrect to say "septic" now] expressions and humour only because of the pervasive influence of Hollywood movies and US TV shows. We like crocodile Dundee and the late Steve Irwin but we aren't necessari;y like them. Just the same as a few Americans aren't identical to sitcom characters (it's a joke Joyce). Now, does any of that make sense to you? Thought so. Jeff

Too late, you'll have to take 2nd place. We already have a US Student here, from this forum in fact, jizer1, who is in Aust for 2 yrs: https://goccf.com/t/122765Not an exchange student, but close enough. He attended a coin show about 6 wks after he arrived where he met another CCF member, sel 691: https://goccf.com/t/127097
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
