Not that the story calls them "mediaeval" (it calls them both "ancient" and "crusader"), nor does it identify them as Islamic coins - you can only tell that from the picture. At least, I assume they're all Islamic, and there aren't any of the super-scarce Arabic-style Crusader gold coins in there.
And if a small pot with 108 coins in it is "one of the biggest collections of ancient coins discovered in Israel", I'd be very surprised. I'd have assumed hoards of that size or larger turned up all the time over there.
