I think those who have the privilege and honor to mint our currency should not be able to sell it to the public at, I don't know, maybe 10%? over the base metal cost plus or minus the face value (or some such algorithm

Unfortunately in the world we live in it's all about the "bottom line". Its just another source of government revenue.

But I do agree. The Mint was set up by tax payers money to serve the public. I find it morally questionable that an organisation would exploit the very same people whose taxes set it up in the first place.

Might have to make the list bigger.

Latest trick I have found is to not pay and not respond to any messages; ignore resent invoice on eighth day and then respond indignantly when unpaid item claim made after another 3 days.

"I have bought from you many times (not true) and never had a problem". "I was waiting to bid on more of your items" (he didn't); must expect me to be psychic, if that was true.
Then, wait right until the death-knock to finally pay.

And, when I gave indifferent comment with the positive feedback he responded rather vigorously to that.

Maybe we can sum up a few sins with a more general "As a buyer (seller) have unduly high expectations of the seller (buyer) and complain bitterly when they are not met; and (optional) then leave bad feedback before the perceived problem has been addressed.

Me too!
Must be F#.!#$ R season
This month that's 1 per week just totally no payers with no communication.
What's with that?
Plus checked my blocked tools history and its already blocked 2 people with high unpaid strikes and 10 with being overseas, or other things I try to block.

Just got an email this morning that ebay are changing there rules

From October 2012, sellers will be required to provide a valid postcode for 'Item Location' on all listings. This new, easier way to specify item location will help set buyer expectations and minimise confusion and disappointment when items take longer than anticipated to arrive.

From October 2012, in addition to selecting an Item Condition Value (e.g. Like New, Used, Refurbished) when listing an item, you'll also be able to provide further condition-related information in the new 'Item Condition Comments' field.

**Thankyou for that! Not that I ever had a problem listing this stuff as a seller, but as a buyer it is annoying so this could be a plus.

There are also going to be changes in the (coin) listing section, hope it isn't going to be too traumatising

Also
In 2013, requirements for pictures will be updated to ensure quality imagery on the site.

•All sellers will be required to upload at least one picture for each listing -- Remember, you can now upload up to 12 pictures for free! Adding high quality pictures to your listing helps you increase sales, gives your buyers a more accurate picture of what to expect, and distinguishes your listing from others of its kind

Well duh why were people allowed to list items with no pics anyway!

•Minimum picture size will be enforced -- All pictures will need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side. However, ebay recommends 1600 pixels on the longest side so you can take full advantage of ebay picture services including Supersize.

Other picture requirements to be introduced next year may include the removal of text and borders. Small translucent watermarks in the bottom-right corner of images will still be allowed.
