Still 3.2K look cheap even for a bad 1930, no? Wonder what it will sell for given there is N/R.

Quote: that 1930 slabbed penny is genuine There is something fishy about this seller though Have a look at what else he is selling, 1937 proof florins, 1787 proof shilling, all with a 99c start price. I dont think I will be bidding on any of these items

I would not bid on any of (blackarttrading) stuff Alarm bells went off after viewing a few items, this is only my opinion only, but your first reaction is usually the correct one.
Low number seller, English may not be there first language looking at feedback this could equal communication problems. And anyone can copy pics and claim them as there own, once again take your own pictures! It peeves me I didn't do a complete search of coin.ha.com but probably copied all the pics from there. Also the 1937 pattern florin is not a real one it's called a fantasy coin. The real pattern 1937 is a uni-face coin and it's probably in a museum.
RUN!!

Quote: Basil, that 1930 slabbed penny is genuine, although it must be pretty bad if the seller is re-selling it after only recently purchasing it. Good find,i wouldn't know if it was genuine or not to be honest.Looks like the auction price was $10,925,seems cheap for a 1930 in any condition.

The 1930 penny might be genuine but the seller is a bald faced LIAR. He states it is EF and catalogues at 150,000 but the label states F 12 corroded. Why the F does ebay allow such lies? Why hasn't a class action suit been taken against ebay by the thousands that have been defrauded by Ebays dodgy behavior? Any lawyers on this site who can explain how ebay has gotten away with this carp for so long? (rant off)

To be fair the coin does have EF style details but due to corrosion it has been graded as *net* fine. There aren't too many 1930 pennies with 8 pearls. I wouldn't buy it, but I would have thought $8k-12k is fair market value.

It'd be interesting to see what the seller initially paid for it. Shabby coin (although the ebay seller somehow manages to make it look prettier...if that's possible with such an ugly coin).

ebay has no morals whatsoever Making it near impossible to report frauds in coin section is sad enough but when we can report an item nothing happens.I have no respect for ebay at all
