Any idea how much this would be worth? (I won't sell it! Just curious on price. Has a lot of sentimental value to me!)

Hard to see the detail from your photo. It is a nice 1896 $5 Educational series note. These retail in VG for around $800, VF's go around $1300. Your note looks to be Fine so probably worth $1000-1100.

Thanks for the replies. I'm wondering if my scanner would work and that way I can give a better look at it. I think the plastic it's in and the light reflecting off of it causes it to not give it's full condition appearance.

Love the educational notes, the fives are no exception. Very nice note indeed, $1k-$1250 is a guesstimate. It's been about 10 years since I've owned one, but these have appreciated in value a fair amount.

Tough to grade from the pictures but it appears to be somewhere around F/VF. Problem free fines graded by either PCGS or PMG can sell on Heritage for around $1000-1300, low problem free VF's for around $2000-3000. That note is just gorgeous and would look great next to my $1 educational note. I would love to be able to purchase the $2 and $5 educational notes if only the prices weren't so steep on them. Take good care of that note.
